British Wildlife Pictures & Prints
If you are a city-dweller, you might be forgiven for thinking Britain is sparse in wildlife. But you'd be mistaken - Britain is teeming with wildlife, and in fact, many species flourish in an urban setting.
At Cachet UK Ltd we have an extensive variety of British wildlife art prints including the nocturnal badger, the wily fox, the speedy hare as well as the magnificent monarch; the red deer stag.
Our wildlife artists are passionate about nature and the behaviour of birds and animals in their natural surroundings.
Rare, endangered, threatened - all these words relate to birds of prey from the feisty sparrow hawk to the magnificent golden eagle. These wonderful birds are often captured and persecuted by man, but there are others who are fascinated by them, and try to preserve them at all costs. There are those who “capture” birds of prey in a very different way, by using their artistic skills to create images of these birds in works of art.
One such artist is Michael Demain , whose love of nature inspired him to paint, and through his passion for raptors, he has created a wonderful portfolio of birds of prey pictures.
Michael’s images capture not only the incredible details of plumage and colour, but they also epitomise the character and individuality of each bird. He has painted various breeds of owls ; barn and tawny, hawks; goshawk and kestrel, falcons; gyre and peregrine and many, many more.
Cachet UK Ltd have a strong association with Michael’s work as it fits in well with their range of countryside and rural images and his birds of prey pictures have earned him a position as one of Cachet’s most prominent and reputable artists .
Bird watching is enjoying an ever-increasing popularity. More films, magazines books and prints, as well as societies and sanctuaries are now devoted to birds than ever before. The more urbanised the world becomes, the more we appreciate the beauty, flight and song of birds. That appreciation is often accompanied by a desire to know more about them. Cachet's range of British birds art pictures have been created by artists who have a skill to capture the personality and character of our feathered friends.
Artists like Michael Demain, Martin Ridley and Geoff Rollinson have all produced enchanting bird images to create a wonderful portfolio of British birds’ art pictures for the general public to enjoy at their leisure.
Cachet's range of British bird art pictures include a number of birds easily recognisable like the robin, blue tit, chaffinch, greenfinch, house and tree sparrows, together with others not so common like the goldfinch, yellow hammer, stonechat, swallow and wren.
As well as garden birds, Cachet's British bird art pictures also include barn, tawny, short-eared and little owls, goshawk, peregrine, kestrel, partridge, grouse, woodcock, woodlark, bunting and kingfisher. There are many, many more and we are pleased to be able to present these images on our website for people to purchase and enjoy.
Many people think that wild birds are those other than garden birds, like grouse, pheasant, hawks, harriers, etc. In fact all birds are wild, although we do feel the need to capture and cage certain breeds as pets, like parrots and budgerigars. A number of raptors classified as birds of prey are kept in captivity for displaying at shows and hunting purposes.
We have a number of artists who specialise in painting wildlife and birds in particular. Michael Demain, our most prolific bird artist, has a large portfolio of wild bird pictures, from a range of well-known garden birds such as the chaffinch, greenfinch, blue tit and sparrow, to the more uncommon goldfinch, woodlark and bullfinch.
Michael also has a wide range of birds of prey pictures - barn owls, goshawks, kestrels and many more.
Our other excellent bird artists are Martin Ridley, Trevor Boyer and Geoff Rollinson.
We have also designed a range of greeting cards based on our wild bird pictures which have proved to be extremely popular with both bird enthusiasts and sanctuaries.
